I have been watching the special features. I had no idea the virtual sets had become so minimalistic (i.e. a couple of chairs and everything else is blue or green screen). In the first movie they were building half sets to about 6' - 8' high then everything else above that was virtual. That said, I actually think the actors did a pretty reasonable job of handling it though (yep some of it was stiff at the beginning, but when they hit their stride, the acting was certainly on par with OT, which I know ain't saying all that much). Compare the acting in SW to the gawdawful acting in Sky Captain. Virtual movie making is definitely a trend of the future so get used to it, and it will only get cheaper. The good ones will be good, the bad ones will be bad. Sin city I think was mostly virtual. ROTS is really one of the most beautiful looking movies made in recent memory. Can you imagine a true to source material Marvel flick or Star Trek movie done using this technique? I'm glad Lucas has opened a new crayon box.
