Statues and bad smell!
Yesterday I was destroying a statue received damaged, so I could send photos to Sideshow for replacement. I smelled a strong odor after breaking the base in half and it almost made me throw up.
My question is: Are the materials (including paint/chemicals) used on/in statues safe? If they give off some sort of odor, could long term exposure/breathing cause health problems?
Just curious if anyone has done some research on this.

As soon as I smelled it, I backed off. Is resin bad for you? I have so many statues in my room. I don't want to have lung issues lol

Just to be safe, you might want to box up all your statues and mail them to me. Better to be safe, then sorry.

I wonder if it's a lead paint issue? There has been a few cases a few months about lead poisoning in toys which had to be recalled. I would enquire this with SS?
