Repainting black base?

Has anyone ever tried repainting black base of PCS Street Fighter statues? I have Balrog and the base has few scratch on it so I want to try to fix it but I'm not sure about the color to use in order to have the same finish.

I was thinking of matte black spray paint, but I have see that there are also satin black and I don't know which one correspond better to the original? I assume that glossy black isn't the correct one.

Any suggestions are welcome

From what I've seen online, I'd go with satin black. Make sure the base is clean of course and do it in light coats. You can even go as far as letting the can sit in hot tap water for a few minutes between coats for smoother application.
