I sent JND this email:
I saw on your Facebook profile that you are going to make 2 different bases in your duo version of this figure.
I was wondering if you will do the same with the single version, since it would be great if there was a version without that railing and with the cat on the ground, or at least if the railing was removable.
And they answered me:
An announcement regarding the railing issue will be made on the official JND YouTube channel within the next few days.

It seems that only those who pre-ordered duo will be able to choose to have a railing or not. Nothing for single version

I actually like the railing.
Though I currently only have 1 JND piece in hand, so it not matching other JND pieces isn’t a big deal for me.

Well, I can live with that railing, but i don't understand what it's doing there. I guess they are so proud of their cat that they want to highlight it in some way, but this hinders the visualization of what is really important in that piece.

It’s two different sku’s. And only for the duo.
One probably has peg holes for the railing (and that’s only if it doesn’t already come pre-assembled), and the other one won’t.

I doubt this railing is removable in the duo version, and even if it were, isn't the cat attached to it?
That would mean that if you take the railing out you also take the cat oot.
