Are the knock-offs of the 1/4 scale?
I own the 1/4 piece but some company knocked-off and shrunk that sculpt into a decent 1/6 version.
I ended up bashing a 1/6 head and a outfit set, with a Phicen. Probably overkill in my collection to have two exact Marilyns in two different scales side-by-side.

Hey, sabin23, allow me to re-post here the pic you posted on the other forum.

Doing a quick google search, this was the closet match I could find in terms of the face.
I was hoping the statue was based off of that first iconic photo you posted, with that specific pose and facial expression - guess we will find out soon.

And like I said over there:
I think we have a winner. It HAS to be the subway grate scene, and your pic is indeed the closest to the teaser. Unless they've modified it a bit.

If it's based on the Seven Year Itch, I'd prefer this pose.
Though, I don't understand how this would be considered more glamourous than the gold lamé dress.
EDIT: I just noticed the earrings in the teaser image matches the earrings she's wearing above.

There are both 1/4 and 1/6 scale knock-off's.

Yup. Looks like sculpted hair.

Same here.
But it looks like Shoo found the exact match.

Then I'll most likely pass. That one looks nowhere near as iconic as the one I posted. Looks more frumpy than sexy.
I really wish this were the Gentleman Prefer Blondes version. That movie is wonderful.

It will be an easy pass if she has closed eyes.
I don't want Marilyn having closed eyes.

Sabin23 did. : )
Anyway, seems like this is also a popular enough pose:

I forgot about that real life statue - thanks for pointing that out.
I prefer the other pose (or rather split second the picture was shot) but I'm getting the Blitzway statue regardless.
Will this be mixed media with a wire running through the skirt?
Seems like that's the approach Blitzway takes with the rest of their 1/4 line. Although we will have to futz with it a lot to achieve that specific look. But i guess it's more durable than if the dress was made from all polystone, which would be prone to breakage.
One thing that I like about statue collecting (more than 1/6) is that you can typically take the product straight out of the box and into the display cabinet. Whereas 1/6, there's a lot of prep work to get the right pose.
