is Akuma popular? does his statue sell well. i know they experiment with Hugo and it went bad. Akuma, Ryu, Cammy and Chun Li is usually their safe bet. while cammy and chun li sell fast, i still see some store have their old ryu and akuma on sale.

I have the Eric Sosa Akuma statue that came out a few years ago. Akuma's definitely one of the coolest looking SF characters imo. I'll be watching how this shapes up for sure! Kind of wish he would be in 1/3 scale instead of 1/2 scale though, but it's interesting either way.

^Hmm don't think Jerry Mac's Roid Rage direction is the way to keep going with Akuma anymore.

Akuma is a very generic Japanese oni demon design. I think the character has been played out. The reason for going to bigger scales is the bigger margins, but who's really buying?

Maybe the market's not there for much Street Fighter product any more, but I've heard no one clamoring for any 1/2 scale Street Fighter, including Akuma.

More than a handful frequently ask for more 1/4 though, here and on fb.
