So I put my Horus mask together today. I looks great except for some problems.
1. The tassels are very hard to get on and don't line up very well. The metal peg on one broke off as soon as I put it in. Didn't even apply that much pressure.
2. The head doesn't go on well or snap into place. Just kind of hangs there loose. Not sure what the problem is. Would also be nice if the head was movable. The way it is displayed now you can't see the head very well (see 2nd pic). I would like the head to be looking down (like Anubis).
3. I thought these were going to come with some kind of certificate or card showing the number and edition size. There is a number on the inside of the mask (21) but I was suppose to get #14. I guess it doesn't really matter since it's just a number written on the inside.

Thanks so much for the pictures Morgul. Sorry to hear about the peg on the tassel. Hopefully they can sort out a new one for you. Horus definitely seems to have a more upright head position than Anubis. I checked pictures of the proto, and the head is at the same angle on there. It does seem strange that it isn't attached somehow though.
He sure is beautiful, and the last picture with the two of them together is amazing!
Congratulations Morgul on acquiring such a formidable piece.
Long neck....maybe. Not bad actually. Similar to the prototype display piece. Doesn't look too difficult to shorten the neck though if one really wants to. To get the head to pivot, I guess one could fix into the neck-junction a commercial grade ball and socket joint. This statue is so cool...looks so badass.
well that's a really "long neck" Horus, pehraps a little to much no?
except that, what an amazing thing!
too bad I couldn't afford it at the time
now imagine Ra sitting in the middle.. the king and his royal guard...can't wait to see Ra!
I will have to take some pics of the head and how it's attached (or suppose to attach). There is a pin on the head that is suppose to be inserted into the neck but the neck is too long and the pin will not go into the neck. The neck should have been shaved off some or maybe the pin longer.
