I went to see this last night. It was a special 06/06 at 6pm screening at Syndicated in Brooklyn. I didn't know there was a prerecorded Q&A after the credits between Kevin Smith and actor David Dastmalchian. I almost walked out and missed it.

Late Night with the Devil (2023) - A live television broadcast in 1977 goes horribly wrong, unleashing evil into the nation's living rooms.

The movie did a great job making it look like you were watching an old 1970s TV show. I found the end to be genuinely frightening too--my kind of horror film. 8.5/10

Bad Boys: Ride or Die - 9/10. Action/comedy dynamic between Will Smith and Martin Lawrence is still top notch. The film delivered on what I wanted it to be - fun, action and some heart.

Godzilla Minus One-7.5/10

I came into it with high expectations due to high praise from everyone and the awards for the VFX. Godzilla looked like a zombie half the time, so I was not impressed at all with the VFX. They did a bad job in making the viewer not care whether Godzilla lived or died. I also hated the Wolverine healing factor he had. The main character was unlikeable until the very end. It was a happy ending, but all the Godzilla scenes were just lame. I thought the 2014 Olsen Godzilla was better than this.

Godzilla Minus 1- 6/10

I was underwhelmed by this one especially considering all the hype around it. I watched the dubbed version, but after seeing a few non-dubbed scenes on Youtube that had subtitles, I think it might have been better watching that way.

It is better to watch it with subtitles, but my score still wasn't much better than yours.

Serenity (2019)
4/10

I decided to check this out as it stars Mathew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway.
Both put in excellent performances, as do the entire cast.
Throughout most of the story, the viewer is kept guessing - ..what is going on? ..what is it really about?
..is Mathew McConaughey's character on to something or simply having issues?

For that i liked the movie a lot, far more so than i expected to.

Then comes the twist, and it ruined everything.
What could have been a 7.5/10 movie, becomes a 3 or 4/10 movie
