Cost/quantity balance. Cost less, make more, or Cost more and make less. It may balance out right now on their end to sell for more and produce less, which is a great deal from a company standpoint. If their bottom line was being negatively affected, they’d make adjustments. As long as enough people are buying at the higher prices and they consider their profit margin to be acceptable they won’t care as much about selling more statues.

I really have to question if any of these artist understand how a corset works. This flap in the back is completely useless from a design aspect. If you are gonna present realistic appearing comic characters then root the costumes in the real world.

As an avid corset wearer myself I can 100% confirm that many corsets come with a back panel for those that wish to use it. So such things do exist in real world.
