To be fair they added a lot of black to DD.
If they added black to Superman or this much black to blue/grey Batman I would criticize it as well.

Big Daredevil fan by the way.

Imagine black knee pads on these....(hell blue knee pads don't make it better).
The only reason most people don't mind is that he isn't a super popular character.

They're both nice statues. I agree with some that Elektra's boots are a little overkill, but all in all, there seems to be something missing.

I guess I assumed Daredevil would be in a more dynamic pose. Really wanted his athleticism showcased. Everyone seems to be standing on something peering out or down in a ready-to-pounce stature.

Depending on the Exclusives and price, I might still snag both though I don't feel like they're must-haves.

Good point. I agree.

And it would've served that new Batman PF better if the costume add-in's were as less intrusive as these on DD's costume.

A grinning portrait would suit the character, he's not always dark, brooding and deadly serious, a lot of writers would show him having fun and cracking jokes while kicking ass like Spidey does.

Waid & Rivera brought that side back to DD during their great run.

This DD PF is growing on me the more I look at it but I agree that there is too much Black on his costume, reminds me of Flash from the JL movie.

What do you consider a lot of black? Its literally his belt and 2 straps on 1 thigh. The rest is just a darker red. The netflix costume has way more black. also in the comics there have been many times that they've incorporated black into his costume and even had him in mostly black. I think sideshow have done an excellent job putting their own spin on the suit while paying homage to a few different takes on the character. This wouldn't look nearly as good if it was just a plain red suit.

If most of the black parts would be in a darker red tone i would definitely buy this... but that would never happen ...its sideshow

Most of the "black parts" are just a darker red.. I don't know what you guys are looking at here. are we looking at the same picture? his suit is almost entirely just 2 shades of red with a black belt and holster.

oh ok, so he has black kneepads and knuckles? I still wouldn't consider that a lot of black. looks good either way to me. I do like you're edit.
