Yeah, that was some pretty crappy writing in my opinion. A battle that could have been an entire mini series in itself, reduced to a few panels, and topped off with a lame Spinal Tap quote.
If written correctly, I'd take Thor over Supes.

But it didn't. Did it?

Sorry I don't see Thor being able to do a god blast faster than Clark taking his head off from a distance or flying into him after he's a frozen godsicle.

I got Supes for this one. How many times did Thor get beat when he was with the Avengers?
Thor uses magic all the time, he is some of the stuff he does:

1.) He teleports people and or objects over vast distances.

2.) Flies in space and can increase his speed to faster than light by willing the hammer to go faster.

3.) Can create storms any where at any time even in space.

4.) Can project massive amounts of energy and absorb just as much.

5.) Can eat and raise his goats back to life.

There are many other thing that Thor can do other than command lighting.

Also Thor has gotten beat plenty of times but he has always come to win the day. To me this is the different between Marvel and DC, Marvel can have Thor lose and it will be OK but if Supes lost OMG the world will stop and DC will disappear.

Here we go again sigh. I serious doubt Supes Supebreath woulgd work on Thor and I've never seen this happen. Since Thor has not unloaded on Clark in there first encounter I have to go by how Thor fought Supes clones (Gladiator and Hyperion) and they both lost.

At one time, I voted Superman on this question (and this is at least the third time we've covered this ground... ...always fun though!). But since then, I've changed my mind and gone with Thor.

Superman's vulnerability to magic is one of the main reasons, sure. But there's also something to the fact--at least for me--that Thor is a God, and Superman, for all his power, is just a guy from another planet. Granted, there's a philosophical question to be raised here--how is a very powerful guy from Krypton different from a very powerful guy from Asgard? But still, to me, there's a difference. Thor's all about magic--divine magic, maybe, but there's never been a separation between the arcane and the divine that I know of in terms of Supes' vulnerability.

It'd be a very tough fight, I have no doubt. But I do think that Thor would take it.

And I can't tell you how much I dislike Superman's "in my world, the dials go up to eleven!" line. I mean, come on...does Superman need to quote Spinal Tap? Seriously? That's a Spidey-line, at best.
