I wonder why DC doesn't have a standardized way of doing their omnibuses like Marvel? It really doesn't bother me too much, but if I were to give my preference it would be the way marvel does it; simple and classic.

As an owner of every Marvel Omni until January 2016, I actually like DC's non-standardized spines, as that gives my library a nice colorful variety and it obviously helps single out each volume. It's just that I find that Kelley Jones cover art awful, and it pains me to know I'm going to see that embarrassingly ridiculous Joker in particular every time I (or other people) look at it.

DC has a standardized spine for their golden, silver and bronze age omnibuses.

That's hardcore man. I think I prefer uniformity with collected volumes.

Yeah, they do... now. I still have Flash Vol. 1, JLA Vol. 1 and Green Lantern Vol. 1 & 2 with their previous non-standardized dust jackets. Sigh.

It really irks me.

And I liked uniformity before, but once you have a whole wall of big black spines (which was all Marvel was doing initially), it ends up being rather boring. At least to me.

Purchased The Flash omnibus by Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato. I had my eye on this one for awhile but never bought it. Some really good sales came up too with people selling their copy and I didn't buy it. Then on Sunday I was feeling a little blue so I thought I'd venture to a book store I don't often go to. Even my wife was like "You need to buy yourself something... you're going to find something here." because I've been working a ton of OT and haven't really treated myself. This book was right there sealed on the shelf. Paid full price, which wasn't cheap, but no regrets. Instantly put me in a good mood. Going to make this my next read once I finish up Walking Dead Omnibus vol 1
