Question Wolverine question

Hi,

I am pondering on how to create wolverines claws. I have sculpted a 8 inch bust of logan and i want his claws protuding out of his clenched fists. Now i find sculpy a bit brittle for fine work what other possiblities are out there that you guys and girls know of. Is aves apoxie best or making them from plastic card etc,
Anyone have any thoughts please let me know, i am taking photos of this sculpt and i will post them, i don't have a digital camera so there being transferred to cd rom at a photographic store.

Cheers Simon

some folks use real world materials in their sculpts ot get certain things. perhaps there is some bits of thin metal in the garage you could snip into shape and use?

I'd go with the metal if possible...and even sharpen them....you can always use plastic...get a few picnic knives and grind them down...or use a dremel...I myself am doing the same project now..(getting ready to add claws to a wolverine bust)......I'm going to go with sharpened metal claws..think it'll be a nice touch...

I really hate all the plastic claws on the statues...the Wolverine Brood statue, used metal for the claws (although they were more like nails) but still metal with sharpened points....great touch...so now I'll be doing metal claws
