That picture right there is the ultimate challenge to the LOTR fandom. How hardcore of a fan are you? Start building your 1:2 scale army now!
If Legolas clocks in at about 41 inches in height, that Gandalf with sword raised? WOW.

I will be shocked if they end up making them all.

Wish this collection was 1/3 would be more attainable.

Agree. The 1/2 scale pieces seems like more of a "one off" type acquisition. If you wanted a bigger set of characters, 1/4 or 1/3 seems better.

Does IS not finish their lines? Or maybe it could be a matter of IS doesn't get enough sales to justify finishing the line?

They are a relatively new company, so they haven't really had a line to "complete" like this yet. Most of these lines never get finished for one reason or another, and these particular pieces will not be flyng out the door due to license and scale. I just don't see it happening unless someone in the company is a big fan, but I hope they do. I got Legolas, but probably will pass on Gandalf due to pose.

Depends on the collector. Some have a lot of 1/2 pieces. I do agree 1/3 would probably have been a better choice for this line (especially considering the poses on some) That's coming from someone who has a multiple 1/2s already.

True. And if I had the money and space, a 1/2 scale setup would be pretty cool to have. I just figured a smaller scale might help with a bigger lineup.

At least with this line they’ve given collectors a possible outline of what to expect in the future and to plan accordingly, as expensive as that may be. It’s a good time to be a LOTR fan.
Queen did the same with their 1/4 Iron Man line, but I wish they also did the same with their potential 1/2 scales as I plan to concentrate on their MCU 1/2 scales and life size busts.
