They can't use the current production pieces. It isn't like they can just chop the heads off and paste new ones back on. So they must be starting from scratch? OR, they only produced so many of these, not the whole ES.

I just look at BBTS and they have the photo of the new portrait..I guess thats what I have in my Pile of Loot.... Not the original.

I like the new face. I won't mind collecting another WW with the original Portrait. The original portrait is more unique.

Yamato website has no photos of the WW statue.

Where are you getting these Facebook posts from? When I go to their FB page I see nothing.

In other news, YAY!

I expect they will dump a pile of returned statues on the doorstep of the factory and raise an eyebrow at the supervisor, asking them kindly to "try again" if they ever want to be paid by Yamato in future :P

So there's still hope for the original design being mass-produced! Awesome! Now I don't have to hunt down a prototype.

(Oh and I'm glad someone else mentioned that there are zero pictures of the statue on the Yamato website - all I ever see is the concept art picture, so when people said they had changed the images to match the retail version I was really confused.)

Someone on ebay selling the WW statue states the edition size is 2500.

Hopefully they will have the original portrait .

I can see their posts without any problems - https://www.facebook.com/YMTUSA/

The pictures of final product lasted only 2-3 days.

Should probably message them about the recall. That would be a nice thing to do.

The new face is different from the original but imo it better suits Wonder Woman. Looks Bruce Timm inspired
