I'm not a fan of Evangelion, so I wouldn't be purchasing these even if they were great, but I feel like the bases are quite uninspired. We could have had Asuka or Rei in a smashed up cockpit, with bloody alternates and glass everywhere. These just seem to be very safe conceptually.

Looks faithful.
For me, paying Prime 1 prices for anime/cartoon based statues just doesn't feel worth it. They simply can't be as detailed as the more realistic statues.

I do like the asuka Statue, but as you already mentioned, the price doesn‘t seem to match with the simplicity of anime characters. Guess it‘s good tho to have the option to obtain a high quality version of Rei and Asuka.
