People want this now because it’s sought after and what stopped anyone from preordering this when it was available ? Nothing . So the aftermarket dictated the price which as a Spiderman fan I buy every piece they release no matter what then decide after what to do . I don’t chase statues after the fact because it’s a ripoff lol

When I started collecting the old heads on this forum used to say Sideshow will never repeat characters, a few years later it was XM will never repeat characters. Characters that were popular then like Skaar are nowhere to be found now. Characters that are popular now, like Rocket and Groot, were so obscure most never even heard of them much less expected any statues of them. Someone like Taskmaster would never stand a chance of being made. I’ve seen a lot of “never” proved wrong in these forums. But time will tell.

Scorpion was the first Spider-Man villain I ever saw in a comic, Amazing Spider-Man #318. I can still remember being creeped out by him destroying mannequin heads. Must have grabbed a 1989 issue out of a back issue box around 1994, I was way too young to read that one live. First appearance of Carnage was the second Spidey story I picked up, so also a big impact.



XM nailed the face on that one, key to the whole piece for me. Would have picked it up if I had been collecting or knew it existed. Alas.

Scorpion is one of a handful of random villains I would buy without any associated heroes, lines, or grouping planned. Others are Bullseye, Carnage, and Dr. Doom. So if XM is listening for new characters/repeats...

Regardless, looks like I might be looking for space to fit a Carnage in my display when or if this comes out. Liked the previous one a lot, but again, not collecting at that time.

Never mind the repeat talk we haven’t even got core characters done like hobgoblin , rhino , miles morales , black suit Spiderman etc etc .

Well Subby, we’re in a thread for a repeat statue! Lol.

That would be like me saying “I already have my Sideshow Rhino, it’s classic and I don’t need a modern or alternate version so no more Rhinos” just because I have one I’m satisfied with. We all have different wants.

Gotta agree about Hobgoblin and Miles. I am waiting for an XM Miles...DAY ONE PO FO SHO!!!!

The only issue is what people have to pay to get him now . That’s it ! I hear the same about Hulkbuster and we need another one ??? Why? Again Someone didn’t want to PO him for cost , now the company needs to sculpt another to fulfill the ones that didn’t invest to begin with . Not happening .

I’m not talking about a statue that’s over 7 years old or more . Redo pieces that old is justified but not something that came out couple years ago . Sideshow is your only hope of Scorpion now and the way they make statues these days ..... good luck with that . They have never made the core villains never mind B and C list .

Anyway, I can’t speak for others but me not POing Scorpion had nothing to do with money. I obviously own XM statues so it ain’t that. For saberhagan it also wasn’t about money, yet a completely different reason.

If I ruled the world you'd only be allowed to buy one statue of each character and that one statue is the only version you'd get. That would cut down on rehashes for all those no-nutters out there. ...either that or people would wait for their perfect version...which would lead to more rehashes. I haven't completely thought this through.
