The Skull (Paramont/Amicus, 1965) - 9/10 -
Let's take a trip back. This full length Amicus production starring the amazing team of Cushing/Lee is just one of the best! A full length Amicus feature, not broken up into vignettes, dealing with occult collectors in the early
60's who compete in the ownership of the disembodied skull of the Marquis de Sade, & all of it's evil! Beautiful colors, fantastic cast, great story with appropriate special effects, this film covers all the bases. Watch this one alone, or with a friend or partner that appreciates old-school, 60's horror. Atmospheric & haunting.

Thanks for the recommendation this looks awesome, I added it to my watch list. I dont think there has ever been a cinematic duo as epic as Cushing and Lee, just legendary

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

The guest appearances might have trumped everything else in this movie. 7/10

Couldn't agree more. The 2 made so many incredible films together. I could start a thread on their films.

Let me know what you all think!

The Northman (2022) - From visionary director Robert Eggers comes The Northman, an action-filled epic that follows a young Viking prince on his quest to avenge his father's murder.

This is a beautiful-looking movie. A little too much English spoken for my tastes, but I can suspend my disbelief and accept that the whole presentation is a bit fantastical what with Valkyries flying around. I was going to comment on the Valkyrie wearing what looks like braces, but apparently that's historically accurate. 9/10

The Wolf Of Snow Hollow (2020) - 9/10 - Stumbled upon this one & watched it last night. I really liked this movie & feel that not since Dog Soldiers, has there ever been a better modern werewolf movie. It takes place in modern times in a small Utah' mountain town. Full moons, slaughtered, wrong-place-wrong-time victims, & a sheriff, while battling personal demons, has to solve these grisly murders in a town where nothing much happens. The star, who also wrote & directed this movie, Jim Cummings, is just incredible in all 3 positions. All the acting is tight & the direction & script had me just smiling.
