I don't normally like re paints, but that looks rather good

All I can see is Illyria from Angel. That's not a bad thing though, she looks fantastic.

Lol, fair point. If you check the background of the first pic, however, you'll see that Red Sonja will always remain red. I just had an extra portrait lying around, so I decided to create an original look.

As for another poster's question of whether Vicente does these kinds of requests often, I would recommend checking out his Facebook page: Statue Repaint. Due to amazing artistic integrity of his work, he probably has a big backlog at this point, but it's worth a shot!

Yeah, I also sent him a message about pricing on repainting a statue and never got a response either. Pretty pathetic to flat out ignore potential customers, if you ask me.

Not pathetic at all; he’s probably just very busy and may have a sizeable backlog. He’s only one person. I’d give it some time.

Yeah, I'm new to customs. You've uncovered the mystery. No, I choose to go with people who respond. I've had people say they have a huge months-long waiting list, but hey at least they took the time to tell me that instead of flat out ignoring my question. Those are the people I would get on a waiting list for.

Actually, every customizer I have ever contacted got back to me within a week. Even sculptors get back to me in a timely manner. They will usually schedule you in. It might be a year before they get to your piece, but they don't ignore you. I do the same with my commissions, I would never ignore business. It is a bad practice. A lot of us actually know each other, due to being in these forums for years. Reputations get around fast.

So, no, a lot of us aren't new to customs.
