Falling Skies S3 - 4.5/10

This series is pretty much derivative crap. Near zero originality and I'm actually quite embarrassed I decided to hang in for one more season in the hopes it would actually go somewhere. Well it didn't. Just like season 2 nothing meaningful happens until the season finale and even then it wasn't enough to justify wadding through the mindless heavy handed soap opera story arcs set against a post apocalyptic Sci-Fi backdrop.

Glad I managed to stay away. Every time I saw a promo, I wondered if I should check it out. Looks like I don't have to.

Sounds like you're describing Revolution and Defiance too.

More or less. Two more series' that showed great promise with a good cast and interesting premise but did nothing with it. I won't be tuning in to see Season 2 of either of them as well.

Defiance is just god awful. I wanted to bail but forced myself to watch the whole season of Revolution, not sure if I can make it through Season 2. Falling Skies grew on me over time.

I quit Revolution after 3 episodes and Defiance after 5. If Falling Skies was anything like those two, then I definitely wouldn't have been interested.

I am finally watching Arrested Development - the whole thing. Neither my wife nor I had ever seen an episode, but while flipping through the DVR schedule, I noticed that IFC was running the entire series. We're working our way through Season 2 right now and are absolutely loving it.

It didn't take long for me to understand why this show is so highly regarded. I just can't believe it took me so long to check it out.

Ray Donavan S1 - 7.5/10

I quite enjoyed this series. Interesting narrative and some great performances. Liev Schreiber plays a great fixer.

Boardwalk Empire S4 - 8.5/10

Opinions seem to be pretty divided over this season but I personally loved it and felt it was an improvement over S3.

Do you have Netflix streaming? The whole series including season 4 is up.
