its really too bad they probably wont get the chance to continue the story. it pisses me off when movies like this or dredd are DOA but sh_t like the transformer movies among others keep pumping them out

The box office take is being compared to Pacific Rim which did get a sequel because it performed so well overseas.

It depends on how Disney feels about it after all Fox properties are moved over there in the next few years.

That's not a sound business model considering the sequel made less worldwide than the first one.

It now takes Cameron a full decade to make a movie. Alita was in development for even longer than Avatar 2, and he ended up passing directing duties to someone else. You guys can do the math.
