I haven't given up on this yet. I actually like the unmasked portrait. We've yet to see the Katana's and bone claws. XM could still make some of the changes Subby posted about above.

IMO, those are far superior head sculpts. I'm also not digging the liberties taken with the costume. His belt, boots, and gloves look all kinds of off to me. At the price these XM pieces cost here in the States, this statue is an easy pass for me. An XM statue has to be perfect to drop the kind of coin I have to pay to acquire one. This is far from it in my book.
Couldn't have said it better. Although i have warmed up to it a bit and i like the unmasked portrait, i hate the masked portrait, doesn't look good. To be fair, this sculpture was on the heels of the great Canale's, it had a lot to live up to, to much actually. If everyone hadn't seen SS this one may not have fell flat.

I didn't know, my bad, but as SONICobra said, it was more of a team effort.

For everything that I don't like in that Wolvie, I must admit it isn't a hunchback, so that's a win.

Exactly. For the money one needs to pay to get an XM statue to the US, this piece needs to be spectacular. That's not the case. It's not blowing me away either. On the other hand, the new Wolvie PF blew me away.

The problem is the XM Wolverine is $1,000 and the Sideshow Wolverine is $570. And I can't imagine many people think the XM version is ~$500 better than the Sideshow.

By the time someone pays the shipping cost for the XM Wolvie...it'll be double the price of the new sideshow PF. On top of that, I think the new PF looks far better than the XM brown Wolvie. If I'm in the market for a 1/4 Wolverine statue, the new PF is a no-brainer for me.
