I could never understand the 'it looks too animated for me' posts. All these depictions and renditions originate from comics which are about as animated as cartoons. It makes me wonder if comic statue collectors are rather just a bunch of art collecting posers who've never even opened up a comic book at all. I get tired of everyone comparing the next rendition of Venom to Sideshow's Comiquette. It's like everyone argues that they want some realistic/life-like take on Venom (or Punisher for that matter), and then when they get one (Venom from Spider-Man 3), everyone farts on it and says, "I prefer a comic version." And we all know that comic reverts back to animated, which for some reason, everyone still farts on. How boring would it be if every single Venom statue resembled Sideshow's Comi? All I gotta say is, thank God there's still some sculptors and designers out there with some ingenuity who like to think outside the box in order to make something out of the ordinary and not the same ol' version that looks like or looks close to Sideshow's Comiquette. I really hope Gentle Giant goes all the way with these recent Marvel ANIMATED unveilings and doesn't quit at the end the way they did with Igor, Man-Thing, and Chappie. I already can't wait to place this alongside my animated Venom mini-bust.

And look everyone, it's a white-striped, toe-bearing Venom from the comics!

How do you get the 1/4 scale? It's sitting next to a daredevil mini bust. I would've guessed it's 1/6 or 1/8.

AlizAbef I agree with you 100%

And that GG Mini bust of Venom I own and I say it everytime, in my opinion it's the greatest mini bust produced.

I respectfully disagree with examples. I think there are animated, comic and realistic statues. This particular Venom does not seem cartoony or animated to me, I seems to be comic accurate to this version of Venom.

Comic accurate

Realistic

Animated

That mini-bust would be my most favourite version of Venom... if it had legs

I just can't get into busts, however GG have produced some amazing pieces in that line.

The bookend has legs...pretty scrawny/awkward though. Yes...that, to me, is the perfect depiction of Venom. Love that piece.
