I skipped out on the Batman and JLA chess pieces and will do so with these, but I will say that the sculpts have improved a bunch from the regular line. It's probably the switch to digital sculpting, provides better results for pieces this size. These are sooo tempting but I must resist!

Anyone know if these are going to be the same scale as the CMFC? Looks like Storm will be in her classic costume, and I'd love to replace the old one with it.

Well I guess Black Widow has gone A list since she is the Queen. I'm kind of puzzled by Viper, but I guess they can't use White Queen for the Villains side anymore. But woohoo Spider-Woman is a pawn.

That was a pretty bizarre omission I picked up on as well. Eaglemoss has a tendency to make a few head scratching moves with these sets like Ban being a pawn but ManBat being a rook.

I completed and love the Batman set but they are too expensive for me to fire up another one. I really like the look of this Marvel set.
