Sculpty Cure = Shrinkage?

I have painted bowen silver sufer statue. To display at the angle I like, you see the comet base with piece missing (supposed to be bite missing from Galactus...)

I want to make a fill in piece which fits into this missing comet piece. Does sculpty shrink when curing/drying?

Thanks

from my experience it does not shrink however it does risk the chance of cracking, if not immediately years down the line. I would use aves apoxie sculpt - no baking required and a much more durable, permanent solution

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Like SONICobra said, you could use aves apoxy with saran wrap to cover the statue so it doesn't stick or mess up the factory paint. Aves wouldn't shrink or crack, and the plastic wrap wouldn't leave too much of a gap. I've been using that a lot for model kits to fit the pieces together before assembly and it's worked well for me so far.

Thanks for the info and suggestions. Didn't think about paint getting damaged.
