The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Well, I still want to buy the Ex Silver Surf myself, but no rush, that for sure.

That’s a lot higher than I would have guessed based on the tepid reaction. I still need to order it myself, I guess I have time...

i think SS is playing the long game with some of these characters, putting out huge es' they hope to have in stock for new collectors for a few years. that way newbies dont feel like they always missed out and have to pay extra money to second hand retailers that SS is missing out on. maybe not, just a thought

Wow what a high ES. Wasn't expecting that. Yes pre-orders must have been real good for them to go that high. I'm gonna wait to see how many rewards I can get from NYCC online and the end of October when my points from Sabretooth and another piece post so I can use the rewards from them as well.

Maybe with the few reveals at SDCC they got more orders for this than if it was like previous years.

I don't mind the es...this way my kid's kids can pick one up for retail and free U.S. shipping.

Let's be honest, these things aren't really collectibles any more. The hobby many of us joined long ago is virtually gone in it's original form (With the odd exception) These are basically mass produced at this point, albeit by hand. Sideshow will make the maximum amount that they think they can sell eventually. So I'm never surprised by a high ES number any longer. I don't buy so much these days for various reasons, but if I do buy a statue, it is because I plan to keep it, or I buy knowing that I'll probably lose money on it if I do have to sell, and that's probably safe advice in general for this hobby now. The days of impulse purchases for me are long gone. I might have bought this a few years ago..
