joefixit,

Nothing is more expensive than regret.

I agree with everything VinReaper said.

I only said daughter - cause that's what we're dealing with here.

And Fiddy is right - would you rather be saying "I wish I knew..." or "I'm glad I knew..."

I certainly wouldn't judge anyone's decision either way, especially as I don't have kids of my own, but I'd be inclined to do it and let her know that you are doing it and explain why (there's just too many creepy crawlies out there). Then you can still demonstrate you trust her but you will know where she is if she gets into trouble. That way you can still keep tabs, but you don't risk a back lash from her if she finds out after the fact. Just my 2 cents

First thing, not married! Second thing, if I were, why would she have any say over my money? But that's another topic entirely! LOL!

I can see the logic in that! Why not? Protect and trust simultaneously!

i think there is an app to track the cell phone. pretty sure that you can do that with a smart phone and it will not tell the person you are "checking" on them.

this is a fine line here. i understand why you are worried (I have teenage daughters as well) especially if there has been an "incident" prior. Peer presure can be crazy for a kid to deal with.

I hope not to have to do this with my kids but if sometihng comes up I will.

There is also a fact that the predators out there are becoming more dangerous since the internet and other methods of communication have been added to their arsenals.

Of course teaching your children right from wrong comes first, but kids are kids. And are easily duped by these predators. You have to use technology to combat technology.

You can just knock her out cold and place a tracking collar (for wildcats) or one that inserts down the throat (for snakes).

There's also one that's in the works developed by the NSA that's injected right into the vein in the neck. Should check that out.
