I agree with all of you. The main reason I loved the Green Hornet so much was because Bruce Lee was the coolest action hero on TV! But, the other reason was that Van Williams was also cool! Pretty sad that the whole cast is gone. I think he was fairly private after Hollywood. I remember listening to an interview with him and he was a cop after acting. He told a good story about shooting back at a criminal and chasing him into the California mountains. He seemed upset that he never got that guy. So he wasn't just playing a hero on TV.

I was hoping to get him to personalize an autograph for me if I could catch a rare convention appearance. It was on my priority list. But that's going to be one of those things I'll never have.
