Started a fun thread on something like this a while back. Plan? it gets tougher with the more people you have depending on you.

hmmm I like this topic, me and my kids actually talked about this after zombie land.
1. load the shotties with magnum shot
2. sharpen the sword collection
3. make sure my war hammers are nearby
4. put gas in the chain saw and sharpen blades
5. cut down some trees to make the zombies have to come in only through certain fields of fire
6. find out if neighbor down the street is alive or a zombie, if alive have him and family bring their amory to our house (mine can be better defended than his, this guy owns a gun store) if a zombie take him out and take his weapons.
7. paint a number 3 on the doors of my suburban and pilot (got to pay homage to the man)
8. oh grabs food from nearby farms and stores
9. hang out and take out zombies
10. make sure to follow rule #2 -double tap thee zombie

I've got my zombie survival game down. Those undead bastards can't jump. Got to find a house with an attic that is only reached with a retractable ladder. They always get through the doors eventually, this gives you someplace to fall back to that is 100% zombie inaccessible. Got to set something up to collect rainwater, and stock up on as much nonperishable food as possible. My plan involves a whole lot of waiting it out. Let all the heroes being proactive out there thin the zombie hordes...and eventually die as the always do.

Foreign, alien, vampire, or zombie invasion, it would be to head to the nearby hardware store and stock up on weapons, camping supplies, and food.
On the way there, pick up the girls. Then head to the mill. No, not to go to work.
We have these arm guards that would be great protection against vampires and zombies. Some could be adjusted for around your neck. There's also water, batteries, generators, and portable welders. The equipment all runs on propane, so if the power is out, that's the way to go.
This area would be fairly safe. Low population, spread out. Most everyone knows how to camp, shoot, and drive a stick. If not every household has a gun, there's enough for every household to have one. I'd say a good portion of the population are hunters and/or ex-military.
And yes, I have swords, guns, and chainsaws. So I think all is good here.
