Tony, you see Fido ever? Worth a watch... Fun take on zombie films.

I'm familiar with it, but no, I haven't seen it yet. Hmm... maybe I should have a zombie movie marathon. There's a few I haven't seen yet.

Dang I had my fingers crossed for Ghost Rider 2 but early reviews say it's worse than the 1st. I'm going to take this with a grain of salt because similar critics said the new Sherlock Holmes was aweful but most of the members here posted positive reviews of the film.

Tuesday. It was a blind buy for me on Blu-ray. Best blind buy in some time.

I love the quote on the bottom of the poster:

"Best Zombie movie of the year"

It really speaks to the current state of affairs of zombie movies. There was a time not too long ago, where we would go years without a zombie movie. Now, we get enough in a year, that we can actually declare one "best of the year"!
Yep its set in Africa

The current state of the zombie film is indeed funny when you think about it. I know some people don't consider it a zombie pic but I firmly believe 28 Days Later is responsible for the surge in the subgenre's popularity.

Not much in the way of special features on this one I'm afraid Ryan and its already out on BD BTW. The commentary is GREAT though. This was a very troubled production and the lead actor almost died filming it. Its "unique" in that its not your typical setting or group of characters.

Commentary's all I need.. background noise while I write, if music doesn't suit me that day.

Thanks for the update, Scott.

Wow... sucks about the lead's brush with death, though.

I bought it an hour ago or so, via Amazon; the damage is done.

Have YOU seen Fido? thought I brought it up in here recently.. havent' seen it in years, but it's a whack take on zombies.
Tongue-in-cheek, but dark.. set in the "Leave it to Beaver" version of the '50's, but with a few twists.

I added Fido to my Netflix Queue after your initial recommendation. Sounds like I'll enjoy it.

I think it was the triple threat of Shaun of the Dead, the Dawn remake and Land coming out in close proximity. Zombies came out of the woodwork after that.

I don't remembr which one came out first, but I think Zack Snyder's DOTD remake had a hand in the resurgence as well, not to mention the Walking Dead cómic.

Anyway, blind bought this, and can't wait to check it out. It had been on my radar for a while, I heard about it in a thread here somewhere.
