I always imagined the Greystoke cabin being small, one room w/ a fire place & a door that latches from the inside. Huge fan of Christoph Waltz. Really happy he's in this.

Darkni9ht, we're going to have a lot to talk about w/ this one. Hope Kerchek is a bad-a$$!
Yeah, the house looks a little extreme. From what I remember of the books, it was as you say, a tiny little cabin made for survival. And it was on the beach, not in the jungle. That much I'm certain of. There are many, many refs in the first novel that confirm it was a beachside location.

There are 24 ERB Tarzan novels Protector. 25 if you count the one finished years after his death (which was crap and should have remained unfinished) I have read all of them many times and even spent years tracking down book #23 which, for some reason Ballantine made very hard to find. Funny story, actually. That book was finally found for me by a schoolmate who found it in, of all places, Tarzana California.

I have a friend who is, quite possibly, the most avid ERB fan alive. His collection contains first editions of every book ERB ever wrote, many of them in multiple languages. He once paid $1700 for a dust cover for a first edition copy of Tarzan and the Leopard Men. I kid you not, a conservative estimate of the value of his collection would easily approach seven figures. He's also a comics collector and has a complete run of every Marvel comic title from Fantastic Four #1 to 2010 (at least) with zero gaps.

1st edition collector! That is cool. I have a framed, art-print copy of All-Story pulp cover that featured Tarzan hanging on our family room wall. Even had my wife read the 1st 3 novels early into our marriage which she says she enjoyed. I read, I believe all 24 of the novels back in my teens & have revisited most of them since then. To any of you more than interested in Tarzan, I recommend this recent tribute hdbk. It's full of great stuff -

Is that a Neal Adams cover? Looks much better than most of his recent work.

Yeah, that's a classic Neal Adams cover. He and Boris Vallejo did the entire Tarzan Ballantine series of books. Some of Neal's best work IMO. Believe it or not, that's marker rendering, not watercolor as most would think.

Final Trailer. Opening 7/1. This is it... My most anticipated movie of the summer. Based on this trailer, looks like somebody involved, at least read a few of the books.

The horn section in the last part of the trailer is really different, in a great way. Man, I hope it's part of the score & teamed w/ the action.

Saw it & reviewed it on page 2132 of the movie review thread. We can all talk when more of you have seen it. "Ugh" -
The Tarzan in the jungle shots are really good.
