Amazing Arizona Feb 13-15
The next Amazing series hits Phoenix in a few months. We always go. Easy 20 minute drive from the house. I've setup a commission, my first cover recreation actually, so, I'm looking forward to that. Other than that, will be on the lookout to get a few headshots added to the Marvel Jams (seems Asher has lost interest so I've taken over the job). A friend in CA is sending me a bunch of stuff to get signed, but, I think he may have lofty expectations. Time will tell.
Who else is going?

3 hours I waited in line for George Perez, 3 damn hours of watching inconsiderate asses in Exhibitor passes getting their stacks of 50 and their sketch.
One guy took over 30 mins to get all his stuff done. So angry right now

oh geez. man, i got my # and bounced. each time i came back to the line, it had moved maybe 7 inches. i was 105, line was at 59 when i decided to bounce. got my mcfarlane sigs, capullo sigs, picked up my commission, got a hardin headshot, and scored some cool OA for a book that some local artists put out that was based on Pixies songs.

Doesn't he now give numbers and you can come back when it's time?

i stood in the perez line for a bit, then realized we could leave and come back. all it took for me. when i was leaving at 7:45, con closed at 8, the line was at 59 and i had 105. had to pass on that, but, glad i did, because when i walked away earlier, i managed to get a mcfarlane/capullo wristband when there were 5 people left in line. i saw jimmy roll by and i pulled out a baseball i had brought and asked him what i had to do to get it signed by todd. he slid me a wristband which i threw on superfast and rolled up to the back of the line. i was the last one. soooooo gangster. it was a good con. nice to see some local artist friends and make a couple of new homies. i actually was strolling around and happened to see a few stacks of OA on a table way back in artist alley. the artist, Jason Worthington, had worked on a book with a bunch of local cats that was inspired by The Pixies. the pages he had done were for the song "into the white". i got 4 sick pages for $40! that was my deal of the con. such cool art. got a Hardin headshot on the jam and Devin Roth also did a cool Gene (Luke) with a lightsaber in Ashers SW sketchbook. i got Wyatt a few POPS and the wife some geek earrings. everybody wins!
oh, also, craziest thing, i bought comics. this one seller, who i see at every con, actually had two invincible early appearances (savage dragon 102 and noble causes family secrets 3) and he cut me a great deal on them.
it was a good one day con for me. i think the key is to set things up in advance. so much time could be wasted standing in lines and such, but, thats a con for ya. i did luck out big time on the mcfarlane/capullo gig.
