Riddick TV Series (Merc City)

It seems we are getting a tv series based on the Chronicles of Riddick. This is great news imo as that is my favorite movie of the series despite it having mixed reviews. So how do people feel about this? Will a TV show work for the Riddick universe?

A forth movie is also in the works, again this is good news, although I didn't like the last one at all tbh..

Would rather have a series that is based between Pitch Black and Chronicles or even before PB which explains how RIddick gets captured and for what crimes he is wanted for
