I'll just wait for the official announcement. Too much info is being passed along as news. Back when all the financial stuff was cleared up. Talk was that we would get a Bond movie every two or so years. Which would mean they should be gearing up for filming soon. Now they are going to wait for Mendes.

I don't like the decision to wait for Mendes to fulfill his contractual obligations if they do decide to go that route. I'd rather they give another Director a shot and get us a new Bond film by 2015 at the latest.

My concern with the delay is Craig's age. He is already starting to look too old of the part.

That was another problem with Skyfall. The in joke of Daniel Craig's age. When he took over he was the young guy just starting Bond. But one bad/so so movie and delays and now he's the old guy. We never got to see the in between missions or hint if he finished off Quantum.

Part of me wishes that the people in charge would restart now with another actor. But the relationship between M, Q, Penny, and Bond are all set now so that's not going to happen.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lin (from the Fast and Furious) gets the director chair.

Another Bond film with the same quality level as Skyfall is welcome news.

I actually welcome the reboot now. Too many flaws in Skyfall for me to get really excited about the prospect of a seriously good Bond movie. Even if the old movies had flaws they were still Bond movies. But we'll see if having a male M and the classic office will mean a classic Bond too. It's crazy that they need 4 movies to get there.

I'm totally against a reboot at this point. The last 3 Bond films, yes even QoS, were more enjoyable than any Bond film in almost 2 decades. I think they've built a solid foundation and can't wait to see them take full advantage of that in future installments. If they can stick to the format of releasing a Bond film every 2 years Craig has at least 2-3 more films in him IMO.

Oh god no. I hope they keep this Bond grounded in reality. Bond in space = one of the worst marriages of ideas ever IMO. Moonraker is easily the worst Bond film in the franchise and I have no desire to see them return to that type of subject matter.
