How Much Money Do You Think SWE7 Will Make?
Hi, folks. As Star Wars Episode 7 The Force Awakens opens next month, I just thought I'd ask, how much do you think it will earn at the box office? As Jurassic World became the 3rd highest grossing movie of all time this year[I think], given the legions of Star Wars fans around the world, it could come close to equalling or even surpassing Jurassic World.Thoughts?

Jurassic World does go to show that all you need is nostalgia and brand recognition to make a lot of money. I'm sure SW VII will break records regardless of reviews.

They are expecting to shift 13,000,000 copies of the very average Battlefront game. The hype is real! The movie looks great and is sure to break records!!

It goes beyond nostalgia. SW ep 7 will draw in three generations of audiences. The original trilogy who grew up in the 70s, the prequel trilogy generation who grew up in the 90s and the new trilogy generation of the 2010s. Star Wars goes beyond pop culture and is firm placed in the zeitgeist.
With no real comptetion opening weekend and for weeks after, I think it will easily pass the December opening weekend record held by The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey at $84M. If it is well done, Titanic and Avatar may be displaced. I don't it will have a problem surpassing Jurassic World.

It will 100% cross 1 billion worldwide, likely 1.5 too. I don't think it will cross 2 billion though.
I'll guess 1.76 billion.

'Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip' releases the same week as Star Wars VII, surely that will give it a run for its money
