The I5 will be out early next year. It will be a proper upgrade. I would wait.

I wouldn't count on seeing anything early next year.

Well according to O2 they claimed next year. Do you expect delays because of Job's death?

I really want to wait but I am in need for a new phone. I have an HTC hero from sprint and the thing is pretty much out dated now. I can tell it's out dated because it doesn't even have any firmware updates available and as the applications get their monthly upgrade, they tend to run slower and slower on the phone.

I don't know what else could be offered with the iphone 5 tbh. I mean you are getting an A5 processor with the 4s and I don't see them changing from that any time soon. Also you get a better camera with this one. I could expect a better lcd screen because of the rumors about the led screen coming for a possible Ipad 3.

Not only will you get a bigger, brighter and better screen, you'll also probably get full 4G compatibility.

While that might not be a big deal to most people outside of major metropolitan areas for those of us that live in places where 4G is already available or becoming available soon, it's a major selling point.

I think the delays have more to do with the rumored overheating issues of the new phone configuration than the death of Jobs ... though I do think they're all part and parcel.

Apple has done a good job of keeping the rumor mill quiet about it, and frankly I haven't seen anything about either, but I have a few friends that work at Apple that have heard talk about the IP5 overheating because of the new thinner design ... honestly, I don't pretend to understand the whole concept.

Personally, I think it's a good idea to keep the IP5 on the back burner until it can be released as absolutely bug free as possible. The last thing Apple needs is another publicity fiasco like that of the IP4 antenna on the first major upgraded product to be released after Jobs death.

Agreed. Unless you don't have any of the previous models wait for the 5 and LTE.
