Yes, I was fortunate enough to buy my first home in 2010 as you may all recall houses were dirt cheap..

Nice! Purchased mine for $90,000 paid it off entirely 2 years ago currently worth $300,000...crazy! Thinking about renting it at the moment and purchasing a second home... Back on track though, yes Doomsday price is out of control.

I wish property in Sydney was that low when I entered the market. Most 3-4 bedroom houses go for about a $1,000,000 AUD anywhere within 10-20 from the city centre, and it just keeps on going up.
It doesn't help matters when Sydney is one of the least affordable cities in the world. Usually top 10 in the world, and one report had us listed as 2nd least affordable housing market. But I'll never move, it's home.

My mortgage is $1350CAD a month, so Doomsday is about $300 more.
