When in doubt of what to do with a Superman foe's hands - just shove Superman's torn cape in it!

First Darkseid, now Lex.

Superman really should invest is a better material. Batman never suffers from this much wardrobe damage.

I'll admit I am not extremely fluent in the Rebirth story, but does the tattered cape make sense for Lex? Like it does with Darkseid and Doomsday?

I know it’s the new 52 version..but I still like it when Lex had the green suit. As good as this looks I’m just not feeling it. And yeah the tattered cape is being overused. Would have liked maybe something with kryptonite..ring, spear etc..anything. Just not a cape.

Lex suffers from two cliches - one leg up on debris and the torn cape.

I think it turned out great. With that being said, I can't believe XM made this piece - it just doesn't feel like a big seller to me with that costume.

If I remember right the New 52 Superman ends up dying and is replaced by a Superman from another multiverse who's planet was destroyed.... that's when Lex took up the mantle with the S on his chest to continue the original Superman's work as he didn't know about the other superman yet..

Here is a link providing an explanation for the cape, which Lex Luther as the new Superman acquired after purchasing the Daily Planet where the cape was on display.

Yeah, so my point being I don't recall Lex thrashing any Superman resulting in a tattered cape, in this particular exosuit. Which is why I ask, does it make sense, regardless if it's overused.

?He?s the most intelligent man on Earth. But Lex Luthor has only ever used his brilliant mind for selfish gain and to further his own bitter vendetta against those he feels have done him wrong. A notorious sociopath and xenophobe in almost every one of his incarnations?be it scientist, businessman or even the President of the United States?Luthor always uses his power and influence not to help mankind, but to attempt to destroy the one man on the planet who makes him feel insignificant: Superman.?
