A little over 12” tall vs a little over 10” tall.
If you’re going with a 6’ tall man as a foundation.

Put this way, a 6 foot man would be 12 inches at 1/6 scale and 10.28 at 1/7.

thank you for the info

So actually, if you are including the base, most bowens would be 1/6 scale or just shy of it. If you are just looking at the actual statue itself with no base, then alot of them would be 1/7.

Yeah maybe, not sure Randy was that strict. I think his contract was for 12” min full size statues including base.

I think it might have depended on what phase he was in. For instance the Captain Marvel Museum (both Mar-Vell and Genis-Vell) had larger bases which made the statues almost 12 inches. Same with Polaris, Tigra and Jocasta. All 3 of those were over 13 inches due to their higher bases ( 2 inches high). However statues like Quicksilver and Power Man (original costume) were larger sculpts than some of the other statues but the bases were minimal (though those statues ended up being at least 13 inches high).

Could be. All I know when it comes to comic accuracy no one got it right like Bowen. Now Tweeterhead is on the same path and their business is booming! Classic looks is what many collectors want.

I definitely agree with you about the look of the Bowen the statute which Tweeterhead is emulating as well. Bowen statues definitely looks like it came right off of these comic book panel which I do not think any other sculptor has yet to truly do that

The base can't be counted as part of the height. If that were the case, then Tweeterhead's Harley Quinn would be 1/4.

I do think however that when Bowen gave a height description of his statue's on the box the bas was included in the height description

For instance, on the side of the Black Panther Classic Statue (the 1st one Bowen did) it says the statue stands over 12 inches tall but if you do look at the statue of the Black Panther itself, it would possibly only be 8 or 9 inches tops

Yes, overall height is part of the product description but is not indicative of scale.

For example, DC's product solicitation catalogs still refer to the Cover Girls statues as 1/8 scale, but the new Joelle Jones statues are obviously larger than the Adam Hughes or Artgerm statues.
