I got my first Hot Toys figure in ages... Spider-Man MKIV suit.
Very cool figure!

I got extremely lucky and scored this very rare kit, only 15 made, from the same studio as AR Batman and Captain America. The Grim Knight by Jason Fabok 1/4 scale. This is an awesome statue!
Also, AR Superman is due to ship any day now. Wait until you see this thing.

I get a guilty conscience when I see how hard you are working but at the moment I just don't have time to paint

He is all kinds of awesome. The challenge is going to be taking essentially a monochromatic figure and creating enough visual interest to please the eye. I'm going to have to think long and hard about this one.

Finished the main skin tones on the body. Tomorrow I'll do the nails and the bracelet. The body and the cloak get a heavy gloss coat at first because it's a tight fit and will reduce scratches, but I'll tone it down with satin out of the airbrush.

It's starting to wrap up. The body is done, sealed with a good gloss coat to create a protective shell, and then brought it back down with Vallejo Matte out of the airbrush. Same with the cloak but gave it a final satin finish. In a couple of days I'll heat up the cape and try to get it together LOL. The head sculpt needs detailing and hair work, it'll be a few days before I get to it.
I gotta say, for the first time I'm actually kinda happy with the skin tones, for the most part they look pretty darn good.
