The thing is the Spidey 1:1 is very much based on McFarlane's Spidey.

Koto's Venom is based on McFarlane's Venom too and Marvel had to approve it. Maybe producers just like the tongue...

I was shocked to see SPAWN hit issue #200 recently. I dropped it when it hit #100 (like a lot of people)

Is anyone reading Spawn now that can give us a recap of issues 101 - 200?
Dude if you stopped at issue 100, you lost the point where Spawn reached its destination. ARMAGEDDON. Of course after that the series was really boring. I think it was between issues 150-164. Check it out. But after that the series lost its point of existence.
The 200th issue was to be published last year. The series is almost dead i think. It's a pity. Too bad they don't make spawn figures anymore. I used to collect them, with my pocket money. Aaahhh, those days...

Right. They're not holding out because of some beef with McFarlane. I think it's just that big gnarly mouth that sculptors and art directors go nuts for. Huge tongue and all.

I don't agree with this. Even if Erick says that's the case (and I don't know that he ever has), the Koto Venom doesn't look like Todd's version. It is Venom, but it's not Todd's Venom. The only one that has come close is the one in the Diorama, which is dead-on.

Anyone think the Koto resembles a McFarlane?
