this is now the norm of games, just keep adding in color swaps, chars etc and charge more. Even iPad apps are doing it a major extent and by the time the game life is over if you fall into the trap you spent $500 on a $50 game or a free to play game in the app store.

Well to be fair, all of NRS DLC hasn't been on disc with exception of Goro in MKX I believe, but even he was free even on the standard edition as long as you preordered. Considering some companies are charging $10 a character, less than $5 isn't bad at all.

It's a fine line to walk IMO, because if the game is good people will demand DLC for this and that character, but if it's all finished already and just being held than you feel like you are getting ripped off. I take it game to game and so far NRS has been pretty consistent unlike say Capcom or IG as of late who shamelessly rape your wallet.

So I end up playing them (Injustice, Mortal Kombat) for a few weeks, loving them, but then that's about it. Not sure if I should even bother with the DLC at that point because the extra characters won't even be released until long after I'm done with this game...

The describes my lot with these fighting games 110%. Happy to know I am not on an island.

I really, really, really, want to go all I on this one but the reality is that I won't get the play out of it with the money I have to put in. Patience for GotY or perhaps buy it on a blowout and pay for the DLC.

I am just sick and tired of the way the gaming industry has been behaving. Especially half baked nonsense that they have been rushing out. Just me venting thats all.

So far i think harley has the best face out the game, and they did do a great job at redoing Supergirls face as well.

Still in beta so maybe with people giving feedback things will progress for the better.
