After several unsuccessful attempts to hand paint the lines (we really weren't sure how they originally were able to paint such long consistent lines with no variation in opacity) I suggested he just dry brush the sculpted pinstripes with the lighter purple. It worked well, and I was happy with the result.
Your brother did great work. The dry brushing really brings out detail that can't really be seen in the gray scale.

I got the Arkham Knight statue yesterday. There's an instruction sheet inside the box. The magnetic swap out parts (heads, chest plates, shoulder pads) are really cool. The right hand holding the rifle is also attached via magnets. However, the rifle is curved, kinda like the baseball bat on a lot of Bombshells Batwoman statues. Also, the elbow guards break easily.

Got a Mr Freeze in the mail today. It looks very imposing...but the gun hand won't fit into the wrist.

Hey Gothamite, I’ve been wanting to pick up that Arkham Knight statue. How does it scale with the DCEU statues? e.g. Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad statues. I heard Arkham Knight is a bit smaller, but I’m hoping it doesn’t look too out of scale.

Much smaller, 1/8 (like Power Girl) vs 1/6 (like TV Supergirl).

Spoiler

Edit: With 1/6-scale James Gordon.

Ah, thanks so much for the comparison. I'll probably hold off then, since I think he'd look odd at that size without a friend from the same line next to him. Maybe I'll pick up him and Red Hood together, or maybe he'd look okay next to some Bombshells.
