But we are talking about Comic Statues, they really need to look like actual human faces?

Yes because the characters are supposed to be human or look human.

This is now confirmed to be an original design being sculpted by Narin. Could be interesting...

It was confirmed to be a Narin sculpt last year in September when I asked in the Q&A and I think Bryan replied to me saying it was.

Personally, I love both XM and Prime 1 and I have both in my collection. XM tends to be more comic-based and their paint apps reflect that. Prime 1 tends to do more realistic paint apps for their stuff. I think both companies can go either way (ie. XM can do realistic if they wanted and Prime 1 can do more comic-based if they wanted). The XM Weapon X I just received has a skin paint app that looks more realistic and the comic-based Hush line from Prime 1 looks great! Both are at the top of their game in my opinion. I can't wait to get the Dog Alien from P1 and I'm really looking forward to this Alien piece from XM when it's fully revealed.

Long story short, while others are arguing whether XM or Prime 1 or whoever else does what better, I have both companies' products in my collection with a big smile on my face!

You have to realize there is a difference between a comic look and realistic look....

If you want an authentic comic book look it's not going to be extremely detailed like a realistic human face would look like.

XM mostly does comic book style statues, that's why their faces are kind of plain and simple for the most part but it does match the comic book style of the characters...

Now XM can do realistic, their Skywalker statue is an good example, looks just like the actor...

Now SS tends to do a hybrid where they make their comic book statue portraits look a bit more realistic, some prefer this style..

Prime 1 Arkham 1:3 statues do have a more realistic look to their faces but their New 52 1:4 statues have more of a simple comic book look to them...

XM's 1:6 DC lineup does look to have more realistic portraits, at least the renderings show that.... Where as Tweeterhead DC line up is very comic book looking..

Interesting. I guess that makes sense considering they used his Predator sculpt.

Yeah Xeno...I wasn't trying to make this a who is better at what...but I was trying to get it through to people that XM can do realistic paint apps just as well as Prime 1.

Like others have said, everything XM has done to this day has been comic related characters and has not focused on realistic portraits as much as some would like.

The Alien pic that has been shown has simply been part of the base. Once you see the statue in its entirety, you will truly see why XM pushes the industry forward and why Narin is a master at what he does (not that you don't know that already). People have a misconception of what this Alien statue will look like....its far, far, far more than what has been sneaked by XM. FAR MORE!!!

This thing is huge! Maybe too big.
