scalpers and tickets

Hi,

I know a lot of people here go to NYCC and it seems that this year the vip and 4 day passes sold out in maybe the first half hour? The thing that has me confused is that on the NYCC site it says that the tickets are non-transferable and if I remember correctly when you order the tickets you have to put in your name, address, etc. My question is how are people being able to sell them on ebay then if they are non-transferable? If anyone could explain that would be wonderful.

I think the vip package may have some portion of it that is not transferable.

the 4 day package however is just the entry pass that anyone could use. don't know if they could ever go to non-transferrable as the security at nycc isn't the most intense.

Every year I buy two tickets and let four friends use the second one with no issues. They are both registered under my name. No issues whatsoever.
