Krampus -9/10
Near perfect, a small dry spot 3/4 in, but overall a perfect balance of horror and light heartedness. I'd go as far to say it's on par if not better than Gremlins for this specific genre.

If they left out Doom and just made it 4 friends travelling to a new world it may have fared better

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Pay the Ghost 6.5/10 direct to video with Nick Cage. Not as bad as it could have been, had a couple good moments in it.

Room (2015) - After five-year-old Jack and his mother escape from the enclosed surroundings that Jack has known his entire life, the boy makes a thrilling discovery: the outside world.
There are incredible performances by the two leads, Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay as the mother and son. 9/10

Tomorrowland - 9/10
Absolutely loved this film. Once again I find myself scratching my head at the overwhelmingly negative and "meh" reception of a movie. I've read quite a few negative reviews, and the thing they all share in common is that they all struggle to point towards any specific aspect of the film that doesn't work. There isn't a general consensus that one aspect of the movie fails. To most of the naysayers it just does. That to me that often points to reviewers critiquing based on one's own expectations and overall outlook instead of objective criticism. I realize that I myself am not pointing out what DOES work, but I am not writing a review. Just posting my thoughts on the head scratching reception of this movie.
