New Gaming Heads Mass Effect Statue - Liara
Just posted by gaming heads:
More details/pics here: Gaming Heads Liara Statue (regular)
Gaming Heads Liara Statue (exclusive)
Not my favourite or most anticipated character by a long shot, personally, but I'll still bite.

Hmmmmm. I don't care for the biotic effects at all, so at least you can display it without them. However they didn't get her face right and that really bothers me. It's a shame because Liara is one of my absolute favorite characters from the series. *sigh* I'm probably still going to order though.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the biotic effects either, to be honest. I'll be displaying her without them, I'd imagine.
She does look a bit...stern...but it's a battle pose, so I can live with that.
Plus, she does become a harder edged character during Mass Effect 2, so that's my justification, anyhow.

It's the brow ridge that is ruining the face. In the game has perfect skin with no visible ridges, creases, etc. I'm not sure why they decided to give her a human skeleton with eyebrow ridges and all when she doesn't have that in the game.

I think it almost looks just like her, at least in the 90% range which is good enough for me... Although I'm not a fan of the dark red lip stick, I prefer the pink to the red.. did she even wear red in the game? I think the blueish/pink lips would of made her face softer looking... As for the EX, a swap out portrait with her pure black eyes would of been cool also.

Eh, the whole 'not exactly as they looked in the game' is a bit of a gray area for me, personally. Especially when, as fine as the graphics mainly were, they weren't exactly photo-realistic, or without variation, through the course of the trilogy. So with that in mind I'd say how a character looks 'in game', and how they would look in real life/statue form leaves a little bit of room for artistic interpretation.
But hey, that's just me. And as always, we all tend to have our own individual tolerance levels for such things.

I'm hoping for Mordin myself. But I'd be happy with Wrex.
