I have a feeling the skin/hair paint application of Blue Mary is done like that on purpose. They may be trying to replicate her look from in the game more.

Hey gang seeing as Epoch Studios next piece is going to be Mai, I figured show off my Mary. I've had her since spring, ordered through Spec Fiction with a $300 refund coupon. She comes in the typical XM styrofoam with velcro straps, color box, brown shipper, instructions, a KOF14 coin and a certificate of authenticity.

She's around 98% like the prototype. The piece is solid and very heavy. Paintwork is great. I love all the details on her belt and shoes. Also, the dirt on her pants and all over the piece. My personal niggles are I feel the paint on her pants and skin could be a hair darker, there are a lot of little parts, and the instructions aren't clear where they go. A lot of trial and error using PO pictures. The motorcycle, mailbox and wall are nice, but they bring nothing to the piece except a higher price tag. I really like the paintjob they did on the base she's standing on. They could have just had the motorcycle, Mary and called it a day.

For reference the KOF14 plate is removable but is keyed in so you'll have holes showing. Like Tweeterhead's Trap-Jaw price yesterday you have to decide whether you want to pay around $825 shipped for a 1/4 piece. Do I think she's worth that? Yes, as a fan but no as a general collector. I got her for $525 shipped with the coupon and definitely think she's worth that price.

It's definitely one of those subtle pieces that sneaked by this year. Not getting her but I can't wait to see how the fire turns out on their Mai piece.

FNC have 1 for $499 if anyone wants her, i was tempted but i just don't have the room haha...

FNC i've had about 20_ orders and have 20+ on PO so highly recommend them.
