Thor's a God, but Thor was never written to be able to move planets, as Supes once was... Superman is the archetype for EVERY hero that's followed him; he's supposed to be the most powerful hero that there is. Marvel's universe consists of teams that are made up of heroes; DC's universe is made up of heroes that happen to be on teams. Big difference.

Saying "throw the Silver Surfer at Superman" doesn't count, because.. as always.. cosmic heroes change everything; same could be said with DC's cosmics, though I think Marvel's are more diverse? Dunno.

The JLA calls Superman when they need extra muscle; the Avengers? They call Black Panther.

I'm seven years late to the party, but I think this might be the most accurate and insightful post in the thread.

Who's strongest? Whoever's got the most plot armour at any one time.

Who's second strongest? Guess.
