Arrow - Oliver Queen statue
Anybody else planning to pick this one up? It's supposed to be coming out next week.

It's not a bad statue but with anything DC makes you should wait a few months and pick it up when they heavily discount it.
Pretty much all their statues that have been on the market for the last 3-4 months (IE: Wonder Woman New 52, Harley Quinn, Batman, etc..) are all like 30%-40% off right now....
Only someone who wants to pay full price would buy anything from DC when it first comes out.

I don't know that I like this enough to buy it anyway, but any DCD statue based on a real actor is something I'd need to see in person before making a decision.

The pose looks not very well thought out. Usually in the show he holds the bow vertically instead of horizontally. Pass on this one for me.

As he isn't shooting the bow I do not see the pose and position of the bow as much of an issue. I saw these come in yesterday at the LCS but didn't take a good look at it.
If I was more of a fan of the show I might be tempted, but the statue isn't wowing me.

Don't get me wrong, the piece is very well done and quality work as usual from Gentle Giant, but this piece doesn't really WOW me either even though I enjoy the show very much. Might pick it up for the girlfriend when it's discounted a few months from now.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

The discount where I order these from is always 32% off anyway on pre-orders. For me, I rarely see discounts lower than that after release on the stuff I buy. Some of the B&W statues have become quickly scarce and jump up in price.
I am definitely in for an Arrow statue, but this one has never impressed me. Maybe it looks better in person. Hopefully, they remember to put the green face paint around the eyes... I'm not seeing it in the pic in this thread.
